  • Optimizing by areas

    • Many of our clients are concerned with controlling their fleet vehicles by areas. A client can determine these areas in which their fleet is allowed by drawing them on a map. A client can highlight these areas with different colors. Our GLOBAL system helps you to register all entries and exit points and record the time of these events. This is an effective feature related to better control that increases productivity and optimizes usage of your fleet vehicles.

      One of our clients is an oil refining company with an extensive fleet of vehicles. A drivers' salary is calculated according to various algorithms. Also, it depends on whether his or her vehicle is driven within or outside of the refinery. Prior to buying the GLOBAL tracking system, the client had manually controlled the time of entry/exit of vehicles to the refinery which resulted in many calculation errors. Also, manual processing was not time/cost effective. The implementation of the GLOBAL tracking system has improved significantly the business processes and has improved profits. The exits and entries of their vehicles are now controlled automatically and are recorded in a log file. Daily this client can see a detailed summary report on the tracking of his fleet vehicles.

      We have numerous clients (individuals) that own small motorboats. Many of these motorboats don't have an official ID number. The security of their boats against theft is a concern. GLOBAL is a solution for these people, too. For example, they can draw an area on a map where their property is allowed to go. When a boat exits this designated area, they immediately receive an Email and SMS which is going to inform them about this unauthourized movement. At this time, the owner can disable the motor on his/her boat by a SMS.

  • Increasing Pick-up and Delivery efficiency

    • Many of our clients are engaged in a business where the time tracking for their pick-ups and deliveries is required. This can be achieved with the GLOBAL tracking system. Any number of pick-up and delivery addresses can be added to the GLOBAL system. A driver is going to have a list of locations he has to go to according to a time schedule. The GLOBAL system tracks the actual time of each pick-up and delivery. In addition, a client can generate a time report of all vehicle movements. Furthemore, any location forgotten by a driver is going to be shown both on a route map and in a report.


  • Using the GLOBAL tracking system for combating fuel fraud

    • A KGK client, a leading national supplier of building tools that has a well-established chain of subsidiaries had contacted us because it was seeking a solution for combating fuel fraud. A GLOBAL tracking system was installed in its vehicles.

      Before this installation, this company had the following delivery procedure. Prior to departure on a routine delivery, a company driver would receive a plastic card to purchase fuel. Afterwards, the driver gave this card back to his dispatcher. This plastic card told how much fuel was put into the vehicle's tank. The fuel spent was then compared to the vehicle's odometer to check the average norm of consumption. This procedure is used to combat fuel fraud.

      KGK installed its equipment in the driver's assigned vehicle when the driver was absent. The next day, the driver went on a delivery trip. At the end of this work day, this driver reported the number of kilometers he drove. According to the odometer, the actual mileage was 393km. The GLOBAL map shows the complete route, all stops and real mileage. It was 323km. The two routes, the actual one and the one declared by the driver, differred by 70km. The vehicle's odometer showed the mileage the driver reported. Nevertheless, our client knew that the mileage on the odometer could be manually modified with the use of an electric pulse generator.

      Given the fact that the mileage on the odometer 393km, the client calculated that the actual fuel usage was 14 liters/100km. Therefore, given the price of 0.77 US$/liter, the company was frauded out of 10 US$ in one working day for this vehicle. This client has 23 fleet vehicles which are utilized 24-days a month. The above example would result in a loss of approximately 5,500 US$ per month for this client.

      This client has equipped his fleet vehicles with GLOBAL. The cost of GLOBAL to the client was 10,000 US$. The elimination of fuel fraud for this client paid for GLOBAL in two months!
